Kiki van Eijk designed the slender and playful armchair Puk SZ 19 as part of the Tribute to Visser project. Her design is based on Martin Vissers's rattan armchair SZ 01. The industrial steel together with the handcrafted rattan, drew her immediate attention after which she made her own rounder and more poetic version.
The Puk SZ 19 Armchair by Spectrum Design has a round tubular frame, powder coated in a blue, black or taupe epoxy fine texture matte paint.. The seat and back are made of pit cane, a natural material made from the solid core of peeled rattan stems. The pit cane weaving is carried out by local, specialized professionals. Pitted straw exposed to light discolors over time. The resulting shades of color increasingly breathe life into the wickerwork.
Made in The Netherlands by Spectrum Design.
