The Ptolomeo® Vino by Bruno Rainaldi is a sculptural wine rack that seamlessly blends minimalist design with practical elegance. An evolution of Rainaldi’s iconic Original Ptolomeo bookshelf, which won the Compasso d’Oro in 2004, this bottle holder reimagines the concept of storage by turning wine bottles into floating works of art.

Unveiled at the 2018 Salone del Mobile and produced by Italian design house Opinion Ciatti, the Ptolomeo Vino features a slender metal column with discreet, concave ledges designed to cradle a variety of wine bottles. The supports are intentionally minimal, creating the illusion that the bottles are suspended mid-air, with their labels prominently displayed as decorative elements. 

Crafted from lacquered steel, the Ptolomeo Vino is available in two sizes and four refined finishes: pure white, classic black, shiny stainless steel, and a rustic Corten effect. Each shelf is equipped with washable, non-slip rubber bands to securely hold the bottles in place. 

This versatile piece is offered in both freestanding and wall-mounted versions, making it suitable for various settings—from home kitchens and dining rooms to upscale restaurants, wine bars, and boutique hotels. The designer's signature is elegantly engraved on the base, underscoring its status as a modern design collectible.
